Evidence before conclusions
The investigation considers the chronology, affected species and batches, operating records, photographs, analyses, installations and observations. Alternative explanations and missing data are made explicit.
Stock value and economic consequences
Quantities, biomass, production history, traceability and relevant market references can support an argued stock valuation. The assessment distinguishes measured data from estimates. It does not determine insurance coverage or the compensation awarded.
Possible deliverables
- Document review and investigation programme.
- Technical report on observations and possible causes.
- Stock valuation with assumptions and limits.
- Technical input for discussions involving insurers or legal teams.
A documented case
Read an anonymised stock valuation example in French. A previous assignment does not guarantee the outcome of a new case.
